This is yet another recognition for KK, captain of the Senegalese national team, African Champion of 2022, and one of the most important and influential figures in the country’s history.
On his social media channels, Kalidou said he was “proud and honored.”
Athletes from all over the world, aged between fifteen and eighteen, will participate: the event will take place from October 31st to November 13th of next year.
But it’s already made sporting history: it’s the first time an Olympic event will be held in Africa.

25 sports are scheduled: athletics, badminton, baseball (in the Baseball5 version), 3×3 basketball, beach volleyball, breaking, soccer (futsal), coastal rowing, cycling, artistic gymnastics, judo, beach wrestling, swimming, beach handball, boxing, rugby (rugby sevens), fencing, skateboarding (street), equestrian sports (show jumping), taekwondo, table tennis, archery, triathlon, sailing, and wushu.
2,700 participants: half women, half men.
