The UN World Food Program (WF) agency in Sudan welcomes a contribution of 6.55 million euros from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
This critical funding will enable WFP to provide special nutritional food and cash nutritional assistance to approximately 200,000 young children and pregnant and breastfeeding women in Gedaref and Kassala states.
This support will help prevent malnutrition in eastern Sudan, critical support as approximately 3.7 million children under five and pregnant and breastfeeding mothers across the country suffer from malnutrition.
