South Sudan is home to approximately 64 ethnic groups, each contributing to the country’s living heritage through its languages, traditions, knowledge, and artistic expressions.
This Eastern Equatoria Cultural Festival aimed to highlight and celebrate cultural diversity, strengthen social cohesion, and promote dialogue and unity among communities.
The day began with a festive parade as the groups arrived at Freedom Square, joyful and colorful, ready to participate in the festivities.
